Giving it meaning is more challenging. This is something that the <strong>Brunello Crossing 2024<\/strong> has done exceptionally well, the trail running event organized by the <strong>SSD Montalcino Trail<\/strong> with the support of the <strong>Municipal Administration<\/strong> and the <strong>Consorzio del Brunello di Montalcino<\/strong>, which will take place on <strong>Sunday, February 11th<\/strong>, featuring the traditional distances of <strong>45 km, 24 km, and 14 km<\/strong>, in addition to the <strong>13 km walk<\/strong>.\n\n<strong>THE GREEN INITIATIVE: T-SHIRT OR TREES?<\/strong> &#8211; Every participant in the <strong>Brunello Crossing 2024<\/strong>, upon collecting their race pack, can choose whether to receive their <strong>t-shirt<\/strong> or, through the organizing team, <strong>donate the equivalent amount to the Municipality of Montalcino<\/strong> for the implementation of a <strong>vegetal and ornamental enhancement project on Viale Strozzi<\/strong>. &#8220;<em>In a world where we witness an ever-growing and increasingly worrying waste of raw materials, our choice is an ethical one aimed at reducing waste and simultaneously using everyone&#8217;s efforts for a project useful to the community. Furthermore, with this initiative, we increasingly embrace the philosophy of trail running, which is based on environmental respect and the enhancement of the territory,<\/em>&#8221; said the organizers.\n\n&#8220;<em>Trail runners who are already registered received a newsletter in recent days, in which we asked for their preference &#8211; t-shirt or donation &#8211; in order to print fewer t-shirts if possible,<\/em>&#8221; they specified.\n\nThere will be no additional expense for those who choose not to collect the t-shirt and donate the equivalent amount of money. The donated fee will be deducted from the registration fee. Alongside the <strong>Brunello Crossing<\/strong> this year will be <strong>Craft<\/strong>, a leading brand in sportswear. &#8220;<em>We are very attached to this event and could only confirm our partnership,<\/em>&#8221; said the company&#8217;s representatives. &#8220;<em>With the <strong>Brunello Crossing<\/strong>, we share both the ethical and the technical-sporting approach. Moreover, the <strong>Craft<\/strong> team will be present at the competition with a special event, which we will reveal shortly.<\/em>&#8221;\n\n<strong>DISTANCES<\/strong> &#8211; For this <strong>7th Brunello Crossing<\/strong>, the traditional three competitive distances and the walk are confirmed, a &#8220;full house&#8221; that allows athletes of all levels and walkers to practice their passion in an extraordinary context: <strong>45km Banfi Trophy<\/strong> (elevation gain: 1820 m+), <strong>24km Val di Suga Trophy<\/strong> (elevation gain 1100 m+), and <strong>14km Barbi Trophy<\/strong> (elevation gain 650 m+), as well as the <strong>Walk Nordic &amp; Walking Trophy<\/strong>, a <strong>13 km walk<\/strong>.\n\n<strong>ROUTES<\/strong> &#8211; Whatever the distance, the magic remains unchanged. Trail runners, marathoners, and enthusiasts of running and walking will be able to enjoy the beauties of a territory that is unparalleled by nature: on the different routes, they will immerse themselves in <strong>woods, vineyards, medieval villages, and farms among the Tuscan hills along the Val d&#8217;Orcia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site<\/strong>. The starting and finishing points, from the central and historic Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino (SI), are also picturesque and unique.\n\nThe <strong>Walk Nordic &amp; Walking Trophy<\/strong>, which will start from <strong>Torrenieri di Montalcino<\/strong>, will accompany those who prefer to reduce their speed to further appreciate the surrounding landscape along the Val d&#8217;Orcia.\n\n<strong>REGISTRATIONS<\/strong> &#8211; It is possible to register for all four events online at <a href=\"https:\/\/runtoday.voxmail.it\/nl\/pvl5jf\/xisymq\/hhz5ckg\/uf\/4\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZW5kdS5uZXQvaXQvZXZlbnRzL2JydW5lbGxvY3Jvc3Npbmcv?_d=90L&amp;_c=f44f2b3d\">this link<\/a>. Indeed, there is a maximum number of bibs (<strong>the organization reserves the right to suspend registrations at 400 for each distance<\/strong> in order to guarantee the best possible service for athletes).\n\n<strong>FACILITIES AND AWARDS FOR GROUPS<\/strong> &#8211; Groups of a minimum of <strong>6 people<\/strong> can register following a simple procedure and save money. It will be sufficient to include in a single file the data of each athlete and then make a cumulative bank transfer, thus avoiding portal commissions. And for registrations of over <strong>10 people<\/strong>, the eleventh bib will be free. Moreover, on the day of the race, the largest group will be awarded.
